About the role
VOLUNTEER POSITION ONLY STUDENTS FROM QUEEN'S UNIVERSITY ARE ELIGIBLE FOR THESE POSITIONS. Exchange Buddies is a program designed to pair upper-year Arts and Science students at Queen’s with International Exchange Students to achieve our goal of integrating Exchange Students into life in the Queen’s and the Kingston community. Our mandate is to ensure that visiting students will have a connected, safe, and exciting experience at Queen’s!
POSITIONS Marketing Coordinator(s)
- Responsible for social media, event promotion and photography of the exchange buddies events
- Planning and running activities for the ASUS exchange buddies volunteers and participants
- Maintaining the financial records and administration for all activities of the program
- Conducting interviews of potential Queens University volunteers with the operation manager and services commissioner
- Communicating with volunteers and program participants regarding upcoming program events
Operations Coordinator(s)
- Conducting interviews of potential Queens University volunteers with the operation manager and services commissioner
- Registered international exchange students as participants as approved by the Dean of student affairs
- Pairing Queens students with internal exchange students
- Assisting in all events being organized for ASUS exchange buddies
- Working with the marketing office in promoting the program to students

The Arts and Science Undergraduate Society represents the diverse needs and interests of over 10,000 students at Queen's University.
The society's mission is to enhance the academic experience of undergraduate students by offering a differentiated learning environment beyond the depth and breadth offered in the classroom.
ASUS oversees a broad range of operations and activities, including 7 commissions & offices, 50+ committees, and 2000+ student volunteers.
