About the role

As a Senior Platform Security Engineer, you will play a critical role in strengthening the security posture of complex infrastructure and platform systems. You will design, implement, and manage security initiatives across cloud environments, network and perimeter infrastructure, and data services, ensuring compliance and risk mitigation. The role involves collaborating with multiple engineering teams to integrate security controls, develop tooling, and provide guidance for secure system design. You will influence architectural decisions, implement scalable solutions, and continuously improve security practices across diverse environments. This position requires the ability to navigate complex, dynamic systems while balancing security, operational efficiency, and business goals. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with cloud services, Kubernetes, and infrastructure-as-code tools, and can lead initiatives that strengthen platform security.

Accountabilities:

·         Drive platform, network, and infrastructure security initiatives, including hardening and segmentation.

·         Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate security best practices and influence design decisions.

·         Configure, implement, and maintain cloud security services, identity and access management, and infrastructure protections.

·         Standardize, validate, and enforce access controls across cloud services and on-premise systems.

·         Develop security software configurations, improve tooling functionality, and implement security controls for data infrastructure.

·         Decompose large, cross-team projects into actionable tasks and drive projects to completion.

Requirements

·         Proven track record solving complex security challenges in large-scale infrastructure environments.

·         Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, and deploying cloud services securely.

·         Strong expertise in infrastructure operations, networking, storage systems, and corporate IT security.

·         Experience managing security tooling such as Wiz, Auditbeat, Crowdstrike Falcon EDR, or similar.

·         Ability to balance security risks with business agility and adapt to a rapidly changing environment.

·         BS degree in a related field or equivalent experience; MS degree is a plus.
