#Position Summary
We are seeking a highly organized, execution-drivenMarketing & Events Managerto lead all marketing, community engagement, and brand activation efforts across our Meadowvale and Oakville locations. This role operates within ashared regional marketing structure, working closely alongside our Stoney Creek and Burlington Marketing & Events Manager. Success requires the ability tocollaborate, align with shared strategies, and execute consistently across all locations. This is ahands-on rolewith responsibility across community partnerships, events, brand management and input on digital marketing. The successful candidate must be equally comfortable planning strategy and executing day-to-day deliverables.
#Core Responsibilities
1. Digital Marketing & Communications
- Manage allsocial media channels(posts, stories, collaborations, and direct message engagement)
- Support and provide input ondigital advertising strategy
- Develop and distributemonthly newsletters(Mailchimp or equivalent platforms)
- Manageautomated member communications, including birthday email campaigns
- Maintain and updatewebsite content, opening hours, packages and calls-to-action
- OverseeGoogle Business profiles, including opening hours, and active review monitoring/responding
2. Community & Partnership Development
- Build and manageB2B community partnerships(schools, daycares, local child focussed businesses)
- Leadinfluencer outreach and relationship managementto expand brand reach
- Coordinatecommunity board postingswithin the schools and local awareness initiatives
- Represent Goldfish Swim School as abrand ambassadorwithin the community
3. Events & Brand Activation
- Plan and execute allinternal and external events, including fairs, sponsorships, and community activations
- Coordinate participation inlocal groups (e.g., moms’ groups, family networks)
- Prepare and deliverWater Safety Presentationsto schools and community organizations
- Lead execution ofmember and employee appreciation events and campaigns
4. Marketing Operations & Execution
- Coordinate creation ofmarketing materials and promotional assets
- Develop and updatevoicemail messaging scripts(seasonal and campaign-based)
- Ensure all activities are aligned withGoldfish Swim School brand standards
- Maintain structured documentation, calendars, and execution timelines
5. Strategy, Planning & Reporting
- Develop and executelocation-specific marketing plans
- Contribute to and manage themarketing budgetwith a focus on ROI and efficiency
- Track and report onmonthly performance metrics, including events, outreach, and campaign effectiveness
- Work with Stoney Creek and Burlington Marketing Manager onquarterly marketing plans and performance metrics
6. Collaboration & Leadership Alignment
- Work in close partnership with Marketing Manager in Stoney Creek and Burlington to ensureconsistency in strategy and execution
- Participate in regular leadership and cross-location meetings
- Demonstrate a strong ability totake direction, incorporate feedback, and align with established best practices
- Contribute ideas while maintaining alignment with broader organizational goals
#Position Requirements
- Proven experience managingsocial media, events, and partnerships
- Strong working knowledge ofemail marketing platforms (Mailchimp or similar)
- Experience withGoogle Business, website updates, and digital campaign coordination
- Post-secondary education in Marketing, Communications, or a related field (preferred)
- Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
- Commitment to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, based on event schedules
- Availability for extended hours during peak seasonal periods

About Goldfish Swim School
Goldfish Swim School was founded in 2005 by husband and wife team Chris and Jenny McCuiston. Chris and Jenny took a concept that they formulated with nearly two years of research, and cultivated a business that provides results in the learn-to-swim environment that you simply can't find anywhere else. Their proprietary curriculum and systems were developed after traveling the country in search of the "best practices" to teach babies and young children how to swim.
The first school, in Birmingham, Michigan, opened in 2006, and quickly saw success. Opening its doors with over 500 students at inception, Goldfish currently teaches more than 70,000 students per month across the franchise system.
At the beginning of 2008, it made sense to begin the franchising process. As of early 2017, we are currently in the process of expanding franchise opportunities throughout the country and internationally, with over 80 schools open or in development in more than 23 states and Canada.
