The Opportunity:

The Customer Service department is an internal support team for front line contact with the public, program registration, fee collection, pass sales and managing account information.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Providing exceptional front line customer care
  • Processing admission and recreation pass sales
  • Cash handling, including cash outs and verification
  • Processing program registrations
  • Assisting with monitoring facility area usage
  • Leading or assisting in all facility emergencies
  • Opening and closing the facility
  • Maintaining professional and friendly relationships with internal and external customers

You Bring:

  • Standard First Aid - Level C CPR and AED certification

  • 3 to 5 years’ of customer service experience

  • Minimum 3 years’ of cash handling experience

  • Computer experience with Microsoft Office

  • Experience with Recreation software would be an asset

  • Previous experience working in a recreation facility would be an asset

  • Exemplary and proven customer service skills- - Ability to demonstrate maturity and responsibility

  • A welcoming, friendly, approachable and positive personality

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks

  • Ability to adapt well in an ever changing and diverse environment

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to take initiative

  • Ability to provide guidance to others when required

  • Work independently with minimal supervision in a team environment

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment

  • Strong team player with the ability to collaborate effectively across groups

Additional Information:

The successful candidate will work at our Genesis Place facility. This is a casual, part‑time role with no guaranteed hours.

As a condition of continued employment, availability and scheduling requirements include:

  • Submission of monthly availability

  • Availability for a minimum of one evening shift per week (must be able to start at 5:30 p.m.)

  • Availability for at least four weekend shifts per month

  • Working a minimum of 6–8 shifts per month

  • Attendance at all in‑service meetings
