Description
This role is responsible for pulling and managing data from multiple sources, analyzing trends, and delivering clear insights that support leadership decision‑making. You’ll oversee Purolator’s import and export courier shipment databases, ensuring accuracy and integrity across all reporting. The position involves interpreting data patterns, creating meaningful analytical stories, and maintaining SQL queries and processes. You’ll also build automated solutions and create visual dashboards.
This is a hybrid position, starting with three days per week in the office and transitioning to four days per week, working Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
Responsibilities
Manage and pull data from multiple sources
Analyze data and provide insights to management and leadership
Generate reports and dashboards
Monitor KPIs: Continuous review of gateway performance for sustained results
Liaison with Analytics and other teams to fix any data related issues
Manage the databases for Purolator's import and export courier shipments
Maintain accuracy and integrity in reporting for all import and export for services delivered by Purolator's partners
Interprets data, trends, and patterns through detailed data analysis
Create powerful insights/storytelling that inform and drive business decisions
Create and maintain import and export database queries as necessary
Create and maintain ETL processes / procedures in SQL database
Develop automated solutions for data management and report generation using VBA, Macros, SQL, Excel, and Python
Experience in Data Visualization software like Power BI, Qlik, Tableau
Other data analysis and reporting related tasks as required
Experience
1-3 years of analytics and/or database management experience
Exemplifies and consistently demonstrates our core competencies of communication, innovation, change management, relationship building and leadership
Demonstrated high level of proficiency with VBA, Macros, SQL, MS Office and Python
Business Intelligence reporting tools including Power BI, Qlik, Tableau
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Demonstrated ability to work in the cross-functional team environment
Strong verbal and written communications skills
Demonstrated strong presentation and reporting skills
Education
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or analytics or related degree
