We are hiring for multiple seasonal positions, offering a great opportunity to create memorable guest experiences alongside our passionate team all while enjoying beautiful vineyard views each day.
Overview
You will be responsible for performing all selling, touring, and retail functions in the winery boutique, while focusing on creating memorable guest experiences. Wine Sales Consultants are expected to have a passion for people, wine and the wine industry. You will interact daily with guests to create a winery experience equal to no other.
Role and Responsibilities
- Warmly greet guests for both tasting and tours and share thorough Ravine product and property knowledge; including current, cellared and limited edition, wine accessories and wine experience products.
- Maximize revenue per customer transaction by providing exceptional wine tastings and property tours and promoting wine club to guests.
- Ensure that product knowledge is kept up to date and that accurate information is being shared with guests
- Participates in inventory processes, understands and adheres to all aspects of retail inventory procedures, including promos, stocking and ensuring accurate scanning of products.
- Supports the company’s Standards of Service outlined in our employee handbook and consistently demonstrates service excellence to all visitors. Provides support to all active staff and assists in providing the best possible service to guests.
- Participate in bottling and quarterly wine club packing as required.
- Responsible for ensuring the safety, cleanliness and appearance of all areas at all times.
- Other duties as assigned.
Educational & Experience Requirements
- Smart Serve Certificate.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role considered an asset.
- Formal wine education is considered an asset.
Preferred Skills
- Communication: This position requires excellent listening, speaking, and writing skills.
- Customer Service: Willing to go above and beyond to achieve customer satisfaction; personable.
- Multitasking: Must be able to prioritize and execute multiple tasks while providing the best possible service.
- Adaptability: Able to accept changing conditions and new information in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical: Will be required to go long periods without rest and must lift or move objects over 50LBS.
Compensation
- Hourly Rate: $17.60
- Included in our controlled tip system.
