We are looking for an experienced E-Commerce Manager to lead and elevate our online store operations, driving growth while upholding our core values.

Role Overview:

The E-Commerce Manager will lead and own the entire online shopping experience, overseeing the e-commerce platform and driving strategic initiatives to achieve business goals. This role combines strong operational management with data-driven decision-making to optimize site performance, customer engagement, and sales growth while upholding the brand’s commitment to sustainability and ethical practices. The ideal candidate is a collaborative leader experienced in managing cross-functional teams and complex projects, accountable for meeting online revenue targets and executing digital marketing initiatives.

Key Activities:

  • Manager day-to-day e-commerce operations, ensuring smooth customer journeys and accurate execution of product listings, promotions and campaigns execution.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize site conversion rates, maximize traffic, and increase average order value through SEO, UX improvements, and data analytics.
  • Support and execute e-commerce growth strategies in collaboration with the E-Commerce & Digital Director, focusing on conversion optimization, traffic generation, and customer retention.
  • Oversee inventory management processes, working closely with supply chain to maintain stock accuracy and ensure timely order fulfillment.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to plan and execute digital campaigns, including localization for targeted markets and promotional events.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on e-commerce KPIs, sales trends, and customer feedback to identify growth opportunities and drive continuous operational improvements.
  • Lead and project manage ongoing e-commerce platform enhancements, site updates, technical troubleshooting, and content accuracy.
  • Conduct regular market and competitor analysis to inform e-commerce strategy and maintain competitive advantage.
  • Oversee content creation and management for product launches, landing pages, and digital campaigns, ensuring brand alignment and compelling storytelling.
  • Partner closely with customer service, logistics, and retail teams to deliver a seamless and integrated omni-channel customer experience.
  • Manage the e-commerce budget, analyze spending effectiveness, and optimize resource allocation for digital marketing, technology, and operations.
  • Ensure all digital activities align with The Body Shop’s values of inclusivity, ethics, and sustainability

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, E-Commerce, IT, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 4 years of progressive experience in e-commerce, digital marketing, or retail operations—ideally within the beauty, personal care, or FMCG sectors—with direct experience in Amazon and CRM marketing.
  • Proven expertise with leading e-commerce platforms such as Shopify Plus or similar.
  • Advanced skills in analytics and reporting tools, including Google Analytics, Webtrends, Tableau, or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated experience in audience segmentation, user acquisition strategies, and implementing full-funnel marketing tactics across awareness, consideration, and conversion stages.
  • Strong knowledge of SEO, A/B testing, conversion rate optimization, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Experience managing budgets, commercial resources, or P&L responsibility is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with project management and collaboration tools like Asana, Trello, JIRA, or Confluence.
  • Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, or JavaScript is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects across marketing, supply chain, customer service, and IT.
  • Passion for sustainability, ethical business practices, and alignment with the brand’s mission.
  • Ability to analyze consumer insights and market trends to drive e-commerce growth and innovation.

Tools & Technology Proficiency:

  • Experience with Shopify Plus (or equivalent), Amazon, Klaviyo, and CMS platforms
  • Knowledge of analytics tools including Google Analytics, Hotjar, Microsoft Clarity, and Looker
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace, especially Excel and Google Sheets, with ability to work with large datasets and pivot tables
  • Experience using project management and collaboration platforms such as JIRA, Confluence, ClickUp, Monday.com, and Figma
  • Familiarity with communication tools including Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, and Slack
  • Nice-to-haves: Amazon FBA experience and/or experience with comparable marketplaces such as eBay, Walmart Marketplace, etc.
