Description:

Performs fully qualified level work requiring knowledge of departmental procedure, as well as judgment and initiative related to the job duties. Duties may include researching, reconciling, summarizing, tracking, reviewing and updating information from a variety of sources, preparing reports, tables or special studies, maintenance and retrieval of records. Within parameters initiates or carries out corrective action. Provides or obtains information from a variety of external and internal contacts which may include research, review and resolving of problems within the scope of the job. Work may involve advanced PC applications, including spreadsheet, database creation and maintenance. May act as a receptionist and perform a variety of office support functions. Meets the public, and provides information requiring knowledge of department operations, policies and procedures. May provide training on particular functions.

Qualifications:

  • Grade 12 or G.E.D. and one year certificate from an accredited post-secondary institute in Business Administration or related discipline. Consideration may be given to significant related administrative experience. May be required to successfully complete a company skills assessment.
  • Previous administrative experience.
  • Knowledge of department and company policy and procedures would be an asset.
  • Knowledge of a variety of software applications with the ability to obtain advanced skill levels. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, and Teams.)
  • Experience with databases (preferably Oracle, Salesforce and Maximo.)
  • Time keeping experience would be an asset.
  • Must be able to deal professionally with internal and external customers.
  • Must be able to effectively work under tight deadlines and time constraints.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Good oral and written communication skills, learning ability, initiative, mature judgment and responsible work habits.
  • Must have strong record keeping, documentation and organizational skills.
  • Must be able to work under a minimum of supervision.
