Reporting to the Executive Vice President, the Vice President, Operational Excellence is accountable for the design, execution, and ongoing evolution of Marcon’s shared operational systems. This executive leadership role provides strategic oversight of Safety, Quality, Customer Care, Procurement, and Project Services, ensuring alignment with enterprise priorities and enabling operational excellence across Marcon’s integrated platform. By establishing scalable and repeatable capabilities, the Vice President will enhance performance across functions and drive a unified approach to execution, continuous improvement, and customer satisfaction. The role is critical in fostering enterprise collaboration, embedding systems thinking, and leading the implementation of modern, production-based delivery models that support Marcon’s long-term growth ambitions.
The ideal candidate is a senior executive with experience leading operations in a large, complex, multi-faceted business. A minimum of ten years of executive-level operational leadership is required, with a proven track record in building and scaling shared operational services. Direct experience with Safety, Quality, Customer Care, Procurement, and Project Services will be considered an asset, but are not required. Success in implementing lean methodologies such as takt planning, pull scheduling, and flow-based production systems will be viewed favourably, as will prior experience in an owner-operator or vertically integrated environment.
