Quality Manager – Manufacturing & Audits
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead our Quality Assurance team and drive excellence across our manufacturing operations. This role is ideal for a strategic, detail‑oriented leader with deep experience in manufacturing quality systems, internal and external audits, and team leadership at a senior level.
You will oversee all aspects of quality performance, ensure compliance with industry standards, and champion continuous improvement initiatives that support operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of senior quality professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS).
- Plan, coordinate, and executeinternal audits, supplier audits, and customer audits; ensure timely closure of corrective actions.
- Partner with manufacturing leadership to ensure product quality, process capability, and compliance with regulatory and customer requirements.
- Analyze quality data and trends to identify risks, drive root-cause investigations, and implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Maintain certifications such as ISO 9001 (or other relevant standards) and ensure ongoing compliance.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with Engineering, Production, Supply Chain, and HSE to support operational excellence.
- Lead quality reviews, prepare reports, and present findings to senior leadership. Support new product introductions and process changes through robust quality planning and validation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing quality, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of QMS frameworks, ISO standards, and audit methodologies.
- Proven experience leading internal and external audits.
- Demonstrated ability to lead senior-level staff and build high-performing teams.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Certifications such as CQE, CQA, or Six Sigma are considered strong assets.
