Job Description RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF THE MUHC The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) is a world-renowned biomedical and hospital research centre. Located in Montreal, Quebec, the Institute is the research arm of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University. The RI-MUHC is supported in part by the Fonds de recherche du Québec - Santé (FRQS).
Position Summary Department / Research Program: BRAIN CORE
The incumbent will be responsible for managing the lab budget of Dr. Claire Godard-Sebillotte’s several research projects. They will need to ensure that Dr. Godard Sebillotte has sufficient funds for her research operations, spends her funds within her allocated timeframe, follow up on her temporary occasional workers billing, and create upcoming budgets.
General Duties
- Create and manage budget across several research projects ,
- Ensure there are sufficient funds for research operations and funds are spent within the allocated timeframe,
- Follow up on TPO workers billing.

Education: Bachelor's Degree
Field of study: Accounting, finance
Work Experience: Previous experience managing research budgets
Required Skills
- Advanced knowledge of oral and written French is required.
- An intermediate knowledge of oral and written English is required, as the position requires regular and complex contact with researchers or international students who are exclusively proficient in English.
- Capactiy to work autonomously or with minimum supervision ,
- Attention to detail ,
- Familiarity with research environments is an asset.
Additional information
Status : Temporary Occasional: 5 hours
Pay Scale : Commensurate with education and work experience.
Work Shift : Other or part-time: Variable Schedule
Work Site : 100% remote
This position offers the possibility of a hybrid work arrangement (on-site and remote).
