About the role
We’re partnering with an established organization in SE Edmonton to hire a Senior Accountant.
This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys owning the month-end process, working closely with leadership, and contributing to a stable, focused accounting team.
This position is fully in-office in SE Edmonton.
What You’ll Do Own and execute the month-end close, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation Perform detailed variance analysis and provide insights to leadership Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports Support year-end audit processes, working closely with external auditors Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities Manage fixed assets and intercompany transactions Contribute to cost accounting and manufacturing variance analysis Partner with operations to understand business drivers and provide financial guidance Identify opportunities to improve processes and drive efficiencies What You Bring CPA designation (or actively pursuing with strong progress) Strong experience in full-cycle accounting and financial reporting Hands-on experience with month-end, audit, and variance analysis Experience in manufacturing, energy, or industrial environments Proficiency with SAP or similar ERP systems Strong analytical mindset with the ability to connect financial results to operations Clear communicator who can work effectively with both finance and non-finance teams
