Crop Management Network Inc. (CMN) is looking for a Fertilizer Distribution Terminal Manager to lead the safe, efficient, and customer-focused operations of our Stettler Terminal. Reporting to the Director of Operations, this role is central to ensuring smooth facility, inventory, rail, and team management while supporting CMN’s growth and commitment to safety, reliability, and service excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Facility Management

  • Oversee all daily operations of the Fertilizer Distribution Terminal to ensure safe, efficient, and profitable performance.
  • Direct product movement, including receiving, warehousing, and shipping.
  • Coordinate rail movement plans with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Lead preventative maintenance programs, shutdowns, inspections, and repairs.
  • Monitor and improve operational efficiency and safety standards.

Inventory Management

  • Supervise fertilizer inventory, shipments, and transfers to meet retail needs.
  • Conduct and reconcile inventory counts in Tronia and CMMS systems.
  • Implement effective programs to reduce losses, prevent damage, and ensure accuracy.

Financial & Budget Oversight

  • Monitor operating expenses and performance against budget targets.
  • Provide input on capital expenditure needs and improvements.

Leadership & Safety

  • Lead, train, and develop terminal staff (regular and seasonal).
  • Manage performance, scheduling, and team communications.
  • Promote CMN’s culture of Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) stewardship, ensuring compliance with all policies, programs, and AWSA audits.
  • Facilitate safety meetings and ensure hazards are addressed.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years in a leadership role, experience in ag industry an asset.
  • Class 5 license
  • Proficient with equipment such as forklift, telehandler, loader, and tractor.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills; self-motivated and adaptable to a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and support staff development.
  • Must pass a criminal background check and driver’s abstract.
  • Training in First Aid, WHMIS, TDG, and forklift operation (or ability to obtain).

Work Environment

  • Standard hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., with extended hours during spring/fall seasons.
  • Indoor and outdoor work in varying conditions (heat, cold, dust, chemicals, heights).
  • Physical requirements include lifting up to 75 lbs and safe handling of equipment/chemicals.
