About the role

Job Description

The Sessional Instructional Assistant (SIA) will assist the course instructor in the delivery of the course EEB380H1F - Diversity of Insects. The SIA will be responsible for the following:

  • Leading laboratory sessions and assisting with field trips.
  • Grading assignments and exams.
  • Holding office hours to assist students with course material.
  • Communicating with students regarding course expectations and requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • A background in entomology or a related field.
  • Experience in teaching or tutoring at the university level.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with the course content and laboratory techniques.
  • Previous experience as a teaching assistant.

Other Relevant Details

  • This position is part-time and will require approximately 10 hours per week during the semester.
