Job Description
The Sessional Instructional Assistant (SIA) will assist the course instructor in the delivery of the course EEB380H1F - Diversity of Insects. The SIA will be responsible for the following:
- Leading laboratory sessions and assisting with field trips.
- Grading assignments and exams.
- Holding office hours to assist students with course material.
- Communicating with students regarding course expectations and requirements.
Required Qualifications
- A background in entomology or a related field.
- Experience in teaching or tutoring at the university level.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with the course content and laboratory techniques.
- Previous experience as a teaching assistant.
Other Relevant Details
- This position is part-time and will require approximately 10 hours per week during the semester.
