Summary The site Operations Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing and managing our operations, ensuring efficient and smooth processes across our assembly, warehouse, logistics, administration, and support departments. You will be responsible for leading a team of 17 + talented individuals, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment
What You'll Do
- Provide overall leadership and direction for the assembly, warehouse, and logistics departments, ensuring optimal performance and productivity.
- Manage and oversee daily operations, including inventory control, order fulfillment, assembly processes, and shipping logistics.
- Support administration, supply chain, technical, training, and service teams and provide local support to the engineering team.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize operational efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall performance.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, driving initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction.
- Lead and motivate a diverse organization of 17 + individuals, providing guidance, coaching, and support to achieve departmental goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality assurance, and customer service, to ensure seamless operations and effective communication.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and procedures.
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, suppliers, and logistics partners to optimize service levels and manage costs effectively.
- Responsible for the daily facilities management and maintenance of Belimo's Montreal, QC site and surrounding grounds.
- Order supplies and recommend facility improvements, as needed.
- Partner with departments in Danbury, CT such as Marketing, HR, Facilities for successful execution of employee-engagement events.
Who You Are
- Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field strongly preffered. In leiu of a completed degree, 7-10 years of equivalent relevant experience would be required.
- 5+ years of proven experience in operations management, preferably in a manufacturing or logistics environment.
- Strong leadership abilities with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, customer focused-driven environment.
- Proficiency in using technology and software applications relevant to operations management such as SAP S/4HANA and SAP EWM.
- Air quality & gas sensors and HVAC / Controls experience preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
