About The Role:
The Machine Operator 1 responsible to operate less complex equipment based on assigned work to effectively and efficiently process all work/jobs in accordance with Symcor and SLA procedures, requirements and required SLA deadlines. Transfers finished product/output to appropriate area (e.g., bin, staging area). Troubleshoots basic equipment problems to resolve issues and resume production.
This is a Fixed Term Role for 6 months.
What You Need to Succeed:
- Operate assigned equipment, to process daily client jobs with 100% accuracy and in accordance with client requirements and transfer finished product/output to appropriate area.
- Perform checks during machine operation to ensure quality of production/work being produced and specifications are met.
- Set up machine according to specifications and ensure availability of appropriate materials in preparation for production to ensure jobs are processed accurately and based on client prescribed guidelines.
- Perform daily preventative maintenance on assigned machine to ensure optimal operating efficiency in accordance with specific machine maintenance procedures.
- Troubleshoot basic problems/issues associated with assigned equipment based prescribed instructions as applicable. Escalate unresolved issues based on escalation procedure.
- Internal interactions are primarily with peers within own division and other divisions. The position will need to explain situations, provide information, and receive information and instructions.
- External interactions with on-site equipment vendors require requesting and providing information and explaining issues pertaining to the machine and steps taken to resolve issues.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
Experience:
- 1 to 3 years related experience
Skill requirements
- Equipment Vendor certification as required.
- Knowledge of Symcor’s routine procedures.
- Knowledge of client work instructions.
- Knowledge of any equipment or software related to assigned work and related procedures.
