The Promotions Platform team in Amazon owns the executions for point of sale promotions for all of Amazon customers.
Key job responsibilities
Every week you will solve exciting technical problems relating to the massive scale of our processes, and partner with worldwide business teams on promotional initiatives.
As part of the Promotions Platform team, you will interact with both business and technical stakeholders, make critical decisions on behalf of our customers and implement innovative solutions that will handle millions of transactions per second reaching billions of our customers across the globe. About the team
The core Promotions team has existed for over 20 years at Amazon. Our offerings and team have grown and split over the years, but we process over $270B a year in OPS and are critical to Amazon's retail and digital business.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

The base salary for this position ranges from $114,800/year up to $191,800/year. Salary is based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon's total compensation may include equity, sign‑on payments, and other forms of compensation in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
