About the role

As a Test Technician 4 here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for conducting tests, troubleshooting, and repairing complex electronic systems and equipment. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our SATCOM products. With your technical expertise and attention to detail, you will contribute to the success of our testing operations and the satisfaction of our customers.

You will report directly to our Test Technician Supervisor and you'll work out of our Kanata, ON location.

In this role, you will impact the efficiency and effectiveness of our testing processes, ensuring that our SATCOM products meet the highest standards of quality and performance. his position is on Shift 3 (night shift), with hours from 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct tests on complex electronic systems and equipment
  • Troubleshoot and repair issues identified during testing
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical problems
  • Read and interpret manufacturing prints, maintenance manuals and other supporting documents to ensure compliance with requirements
  • Maintain accurate records of test results and equipment performance
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area Set up and change over test equipment as required

The Honeywell building is a controlled goods program environment. Candidates must be eligible for CGP clearance.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • High School Diploma 1+ years of experience working in communication/networking/electronic components repair and testing

WE VALUE

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Strong technical knowledge of electronic systems and equipment

  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

  • Attention to detail and ability to follow test procedures

  • Experience with testing and repair of Satellite communications equipment

  • Experienced usage of Network Analyzer, Oscilloscope, Spectrum Analyzer, Function Generator, Power Meter, etc. is preferred

  • Familiarity with test equipment and software
