Job Description

Reporting to the Assets & Procurement Manager of Park and Facility Services, the Assets & Record Coordinator is responsible for executing the storage strategy, including creating the storage process/SOP parameters including cost, size, what can be stored where and how long it will be retained for the Calgary Stampede. This position will plan and coordinate the receipt, dispatch and procurement of Stampede assets as they pertain to storage and location.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities of this role may include, but are not limited to:

  • Collaborate with the committees, internal departments and client stakeholders to determine best storage solutions related to asset type, duration and location as well and maintenance needs
  • Maintain and implement audit and records for risk management of our fixed assets
  • Developing storage processes and documentation
  • Assess, execute and communicate storage-related decisions
  • Prepare and maintain emergency services supplies and equipment for annual flood exercise
  • Support and compile report on annual flood exercise
  • Support code compliance as required by City of Calgary as they relate to our Ramsay storage area
  • Maintain and implement audit and records of all Stampede drawing and project files, including the coordination with City Officials, Safety Officers/Inspectors and insurance inspectors as required.
  • Maintain and operate warehouse machinery and equipment for the task
  • Adhering to all safety and environmental protection programs, policies and procedures to ensure a safe and healthy work environment
  • Support special projects and program initiatives as assigned
  • Other duties to assist with Park & Facilities Operations, as required

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be proactive, optimistic, working in a dynamic environment where they have experience delivering on multiple priorities as well as the following:

  • Post-Secondary Certificate
  • Minimum 2 years of Asset Management job-related experience
  • Logistics experience considered an asset
  • Knowledge and experience with asset management software considered an asset
  • Strong administrative and recordkeeping skills with a strong attention to detail and the ability to create and follow a schedule
  • Communication skills that include the capability to work with organizational departments, committees and client stakeholders
  • Problem solving skills and experience
  • Expertise knowledge of Microsoft Office including word, excel and database applications
  • Trained and certified in the operation of forklifts, pallet jacks, and elevating lifts
  • Valid Alberta Class 5 Driver’s License (Non GDL)
  • Adequate visual acuity
  • Ability to work towards a common goal and vision, building strong working relationship and delivery at high level of customer service

Working Conditions

  • Involves repetitive arm, hand and finger movement. Occasional lifting and carrying up to 50 lb., pushing, crouching, bending, kneeling and reaching. Daily stair climbing
  • Exposure to noise, dust, animal dander and changes in temperature
