About the role
JOB DESCRIPTION :
Reporting to the Director, Human Resources, you will play a key role within the Human Resources team by contributing to various projects and supporting the deployment of HR programs, as well as the alignment of processes and practices across the organization. An exciting and hands-on and multifaceted role where you will contribute the employee experience, combining technical, administrative, and generalist responsibilities in human resources.

Create and maintain accurate and up-to-date digital employee records;

Draft and file various HR documents (letters regarding job or salary changes, employment confirmations, employee file documents, etc.);

Collaborate with Human Resources colleagues on any changes affecting employee records;
-
Complete the necessary steps in the HRIS « UKG » related to the onboarding of new employees and any other required modifications;
-
Respond to various administrative questions from employees and managers while managing the daily operations of the Human Resources email inbox;
-
Collaborate with various internal teams to find solutions adapted to the situations faced;
-
Perform data entry and generate the required reports;
-
Review and map HR processes for their optimization;
-
Draft and update internal policies, procedures, and other HR documents;
-
Provide active support in various HR projects and cross-functional projects;

Contribute to any other tasks that may support the Human Resources team and HR leadership;
Stay up-to-date with HR best practices and recommend continuous optimizations to existing processes and tools;
JOB REQUIREMENTS :

Bachelor's degree in Industrial Relations, Human Resources, or equivalent;
-
2–4 years of progressive HR experience, ideally in a generalist, coordinator, or junior advisory role.

Experience working in a unionized environment is a significant asset;
-
Exposure to employee relations, performance management, and basic disciplinary processes.

Strong skills in using computer systems and learning new IT tools;
-
Experience supporting operations in multi-site or fast-paced environments preferred.

Have attention to detail and demonstrate rigor in the quality of work delivered;
-
Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to providing exceptional employee service;
-
Strong ability to work harmoniously in a team;
-
Demonstrate a high level of discretion when handling confidential information.
TYPE OF POSITION :

Full-time permanent position (40 hours per week);

Hybrid mode (a minimum of 2 days on-site is required);

Position base in Edmonton;

Work schedule from Monday to Friday;

Mobility: May be required to travel occasionally between locations
