The Opportunity Ensure operation of mechanical systems and equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements and troubleshooting problems on conveyors, machinery, with use of manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, etc.
What You’ll Do
- Focus on minimizing downtime through preventive maintenance and good troubleshooting techniques
- Prepare maintenance reports by Make recommendations as necessary for improvements
- Maintain technical knowledge by attending education workshops
- Repair and replace as necessary pumps, valves, motors, etc.
- Perform quality checks on all work performed
- Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with health and safety and housekeeping practices and use of personal protective equipment
- Prepare maintenance reports by making recommendations as necessary for improvements
- Maintain documentation as required by Atlantic Packaging
- Required to utilize documentation in CMMS
- Install new machines and equipment
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results and other duties as assigned
- Inform production workers of routine mechanical preventive maintenance plans
What You Bring
- Must possess a valid Millwright License (433A) or be a registered apprentice level 3 or higher
- Must possess mechanical aptitude
- Minimum 2–3-year previous experience in a manufacturing industry
- Experience with rigging, precision alignment, or equipment layout.
- Exposure to mechanical devices, pneumatic controls and welding/cutting
- All position welding preferred (stainless steel pipe, guard repairs, etc.)
