Position Summary:
We’re looking for a strategic and hands-on Senior Manager, Disaster & Cyber Recovery to lead and operationalize our enterprise Disaster Recovery (DR) and Cyber Recovery programs. This is a hybrid role based in Toronto, offering the opportunity to work closely with cross-functional teams while maintaining flexibility.
In this role, you’ll combine strategic planning with hands-on execution to ensure critical business services can be restored quickly and effectively following a disruptive event. You’ll lead recovery governance, drive readiness initiatives, and embed resilient recovery practices across both technology and business teams.
As a trusted partner to Technology, Cybersecurity, Risk, and business leaders, you’ll play a key role in strengthening organizational resilience and enabling confident, timely recovery in the face of evolving risks.

**What You’ll Do:**Program Leadership & Strategy Execution:
- Lead the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of Disaster Recovery and Cyber Recovery programs aligned with Business Continuity, Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), and cybersecurity priorities.
- Translate enterprise risk and resilience goals into practical frameworks, standards, and procedures.
- Partner with cross-functional leaders to prioritize recovery capabilities based on business impact and criticality.
Cyber Recovery Enablement:
- Drive the implementation and ongoing maturity of cyber recovery capabilities.
- Collaborate with IT Security, Infrastructure, and Application teams to embed recoverability into system design and operations.
- Support evaluation and implementation of solutions such as immutable backups, isolated recovery environments, and ransomware recovery controls.
- Ensure critical systems have validated restoration procedures and regularly tested recovery paths.
Operational Readiness & Governance:
- Plan and execute recovery testing, including failover exercises, tabletop simulations, and restoration validations.
- Partner with stakeholders to define and maintain RTO and RPO objectives.
- Coordinate recovery efforts during major incidents and lead post-incident reviews to identify improvements.
- Maintain clear, audit-ready documentation, including runbooks and recovery procedures.
- Support internal and external audits and regulatory assessments related to resilience and recovery.
Leadership & Stakeholder Communication:
- Provide leadership and mentorship to team members supporting recovery execution.
- Deliver clear, concise reporting to senior leadership on readiness, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Promote awareness of recovery roles, responsibilities, and best practices across the organization.
- Act as a subject matter expert on recovery planning and organizational resilience.
What You'll Bring:
- 8–12 years of experience in IT Disaster Recovery, Infrastructure, or Cybersecurity.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Risk Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Relevant certifications such as CBCP, CCRP, CISSP, CRISC, CISM, or ITIL are considered assets.
- Experience in one or more of the following areas is considered an asset: healthcare or regulated industries, Business Continuity planning, cybersecurity operations or architecture, and cloud or hybrid recovery environments.
- Demonstrated experience building or enhancing Disaster Recovery and/or cyber recovery programs.
- Hands-on experience with backup technologies, immutable storage, and restoration testing.
- Strong understanding of DR methodologies, including Business Impact Analysis (BIA), risk assessment, and failover testing.
- Familiarity with frameworks such as NIST, ISO 22301, or similar regulatory standards.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively across infrastructure, security, and application teams.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and guide decision-making.

What We Offer:
Salary range: $112,565 - $143,520 CAD annually (commensurate with experience)
