What You’ll Do:

  • Support the development and upkeep of integrated master schedules for shipbuilding projects.
  • Learn and apply scheduling methodologies to real-world scenarios.
  • Assist in creating “what-if” analyses to support decision-making.
  • Contribute to progress tracking and reporting across program milestones.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Schedule Development & Analysis

  • Assist in building and maintaining integrated master schedules.
  • Support critical path analysis and “what-if” scenario planning.
  • Contribute to schedule risk assessments and baseline change tracking.

Progress & Reporting

  • Record project progress and share updates with stakeholders.
  • Help ensure all weekly and monthly business reporting requirements are met.
  • Maintain effective scheduling systems and processes.

Collaboration & Coordination

  • Work closely with the scheduling team to review and update project activities.

  • Coordinate timelines across internal departments and external partners.

  • Implement and manage multi-project schedule dependencies.

What You Bring:

Education & Experience

  • Currently enrolled in a 4-year degree program in Engineering, Business, Computer Science , or a related field. 0–2 years of relevant experience—this role is designed to help you grow!

Technical Skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and open to learning new tools.
  • Exposure to multi-project integration and working within cross-functional teams .
  • Familiarity with Earned Value Management (EVM) techniques.
  • Experience or interest in schedule risk analysis using the Monte Carlo method is a plus. Able to work independently while contributing to a collaborative environment.

Collaboration & Communication

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication , interpersonal , and problem-solving abilities.
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.

Due to the nature of work Irving Shipbuilding does, all successful applicants must meet requirements for the Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), Canadian Government Security clearance, and U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

Please note this position requires a full-time, in-office presence.
