Closing Date: January 12, 2026 Job Summary This PROJECT COORDINATOR position is an integral member of the Strategy & Transformation team at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre. They are a highly organized individual with background and experience in supporting healthcare-related projects, with primary responsibilities including effective coordination and project planning, implementation, documentation, monitoring and evaluation, support of working groups and other committee meetings, and ongoing communication and stakeholder engagement. This role will be in a hybrid work environment.
This position will have a particular focus on two portfolios: supporting the Princess Margaret Awards Nomination Committee and the Princess Margaret Cancer Prevention Program. The Princess Margaret Awards Nomination Committee oversees the selection and nomination of candidates for high-impact awards and supports the full cycle of the application process. The Princess Margaret Cancer Prevention Program is a new initiative to create a dedicated cancer prevention program and interception clinic, with the aim to detect cancer early and bridge the gap between clinical care, research, and system navigation. Across both portfolios, the PROJECT COORDINATOR will work with the project lead(s) to ensure the development and execution of efficient program operations and delivery of project milestones.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Project Management
- Coordinates end-to-end project management of multiple projects within a multi-disciplinary team environment, working closely with the Manager.
- Coordinates Awards Nomination Committee and Cancer Prevention Program activities, tracking deadlines, monitoring progress of all initiatives, and following up proactively to ensure timely updates, completed deliverables, and adherence to strict deadlines as applicable.
- Assists with information collection, reporting, and distribution – including basic data entry and data visualization (Excel).
- Liaises with all members of the team and committee/working groups to ensure all associated project activities are coordinated.
- Prepares and maintains project plans and timelines in conjunction with the Manager.
- Prepares reports and other key documents required to meet project objectives (e.g., letters of recommendation, environmental scans, communication reports and presentations).
- Demonstrates appropriate decision-making when escalating and communicating issues during problem resolution/risk management.
- Reviews the analysis, interpretation, and reporting of information produced by other members of the team to ensure data quality/accuracy, as required.
- Committee Support
- Supports Awards Nomination Committee and Cancer Prevention Working Group meetings, including planning agendas, preparing presentation materials, documenting meeting minutes, and following up on action items.
- Maintain and update committee and working group databases and documentation

Qualifications Education: At minimum, completion of a bachelors degree in health sciences, health administration, or recognized equivalent required.
Experience
- At minimum 3 years practical and related experience or 6 months on-the-job training required.
- Minimum 2 years project management experience in healthcare required; experience in oncology at asset.
- Excellent interpersonal and facilitation skills required.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills required.
- Excellent problem recognition and resolution skills required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
- Excellent analytical skills required.
- Ability to produce high quality reports and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
