The Senior Project Manager is responsible for delivering assigned projects within the specified time, scope, and budget by planning, budgeting, supervising, and documenting project activities. This role collaborates with members of the Product and Project Management team to define project scope and scheduling, as well as with other departments as needed. The Sr. Project Manager may work independently or lead a team to complete projects.

Education/Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered

5–10 years of progressive project management experience, preferably in manufacturing or agriculture sectors

PMP certification required; CSM, Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt), or PgMP considered strong assets

Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects from initiation to completion

Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, and ERP systems (e.g., SAP); familiarity with CAD or 3D modeling tools is an asset

Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills

Knowledge of modern farming practices, precision agriculture technologies, and equipment is an asset

Eligibility for P.Eng. designation (if applicable)

Strong technical acumen, both practical and theoretical

Accountabilities

Leading internal projects as the project management function grows

Develop and maintain project quality models according to organizational standards

Establish and implement project maturity models in line with organizational guidelines

Set up project communication frameworks consistent with organizational protocols

Create guidelines and promote awareness regarding quality, scope, schedule, and budget

Influence and evolve decision-making processes for projects

Develop continuous improvement initiatives for project management with emphasis on:

Coordinating and overseeing projects, including managing large, cross-functional teams

Facilitating engagement among project members and functional areas

Managing project timelines and milestones

Overseeing project budgets and reporting

Engaging stakeholders

Addressing project deviations, reporting, and conflict resolution

Conducting Project Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA)

Ensuring Design FMEA and technical risk assessments are completed

Delivering product cost calculations and monitoring cost targets

Administering changes within projects

Supporting a collaborative project team environment

Leading improvement initiatives in project management and product development

Work Conditions

Primarily a typical office working environment

Primarily travel between North American Manufacturing sites

International travel might be required

Shop and field exposure is required during the prototyping and testing phases

Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals

Work is performed in a combination of environments which require the usage of Personal Protective Equipment

This position may be exposed to elements such as noise, dust, odors, fumes and oils

Job anxiety, tension and mental stress can occur from time to time in meeting deadlines, confrontation, interruptions, long meetings and responding to general duties

Lifting or moving up to 50lbs may be required
