**Location:**South Surrey – West Coast Gardens
**Hours:**8:30am–5:00pm | 30–40 hoursper week
Pay:$18/hr
**Duration:**March–June (possibility to continue into summer season)
About theRole:
Cashiers are the face of West Coast Gardens.You’llwelcome customers, process sales quickly and accurately, and keep the front area looking sharp. This is an active, customer-facing role where attention to detail and a friendly attitude go a long way.
If you enjoy staying busy, working with people, and keeping things organized, thisjob’sfor you.
Responsibilities:

Provide friendly, efficient checkout service for all customers

Operate the POS system for purchases, returns, and exchanges

Keep cash line stocked, clean, and organized
-
Restock and face impulse items and small goods at registers
-
Maintain product knowledge on plants and seasonal merchandise
-
Assistwith daily opening and closing procedures as assigned
-
Support restocking, bagging, and carry-outs when needed
Qualifications:

Friendly,accurate, and confident with customers
-
Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated
-
Detail-oriented with good multitasking skills
-
Able to stand forlong periodsandlift upto 30lbs
-
Comfortable working in a busy retail environment and warmer temps
-
Reliable transportation is recommended as the location is not accessible by bus

West Coast Gardens’ nursery, garden centre and greenhouses are situated in South Surrey BC. We offer a wide selection of annuals, tropicals, hanging baskets, planters, perennials, shrubs, herbs, veggies and more. Our retail garden centre serves the Vancouver and BC Lower Mainland area and offers high impact plants for your home and garden.
Our wholesale division delivers homegrown plants and planter designs weekly throughout the Western Canada and Pacific Northwest markets. Our clients include Costco Canada and USA, Sobeys, Albertsons and large independent garden centres nationwide.
