Car Transporter Fitter
About the role
The UK’s leading premier car transporter manufacturer, is recruiting for a car transporter assembler. Based in Gosfield near Braintree in Essex in their purpose-built facilities and powered by renewable energy.
Location: Gosfield, Essex
Permanent, 40 hours per week
Working Hours: 7.30 until 16.30 Mon to Thurs – 07.30 until 13.30 Friday.
Salary 29- 32,000 plus Overtime and bonus
Overview Of Role Working within a team of 3/4, the car transporter fitter will work as a team by carrying out the full build of a trailer, from painted structure to fully fitted operational car transporter.
THE ROLE
Fitting of mechanical hydraulics and pneumatics, electrics, brake systems and installation of moving vehicle decks into our new build car transporters.
Skills Required Previous experience in vehicle/trailer fitment or automotive would be preferred but not essential. As training will be provided.
Possess a solid technical background in vehicle fitment and mechanical attitude.
Proficiency in mechanical assembly and repair techniques
Read and interpret drawings and schematics.
Previous experience with hand tools is essential to the role.
Basic electrical knowledge
Knowledge of pneumatics
Knowledge of hydraulics
Excellent problem-solving skills
Execute duties with meticulous attention to detail.
Adhere to safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Ability to work well as part of a team.
