About the role

The FP&A Analyst, Operations is responsible for ensuring the reliability of accounting and financial information and for analyzing the data to allow for thoughtful and appropriate decisions. He/She also participates in the development process of the company by providing different financial information.

Assigned responsibilities

  • Act as a business partner for the various departments in the operations;

  • Analyzing and monitoring the annual budget, as well as quarterly and annual forecasts for operations;

  • Prepare files for all capital investment requests;

  • Participate in the implementation of management dashboards using performance indicators;

  • Collecting, updating, and analyzing performance indicators for operations;

  • Perform profitability analyses, by distribution centre/activity (35 distribution centres);

  • Responsible for the month-end process for month-end provisions for operations;

  • Develop excellent relationships with all departments to facilitate the exchange of information;

  • Conduct Ad hoc requests from managers;

  • All other related tasks.

Success factors

  • Financial background: Your Bachelor degree in Finance or Accounting as well as your experience of at least 5 years in a financial analyst role have provided you with excellent skills and knowledge of the field. You also have an accreditation with a recognized professional accounting or financial association (CPA - or CFA);
  • Analytical skills: You can easily diagnose and identify the likely causes and consequences of a situation. You know how to identify the links between the different elements, which leads you to be able to formulate accurate recommendations;
  • Rigor: You are professional and thorough and give importance to detail by ensuring that the information provided is always accurate;
  • Business acumen: You can quickly understand the essence of a business and seize the opportunities that emerge from financial reporting. Your business senses allows you to make recommendations aligned with company objectives and strategies;
  • Computer expertise: You master the tools of the Suite offices and are an ace of Excel;
  • Language proficiency: Bilingual, you master French and English, both oral and written.
