About the role
We’re seeking a Materials Stocker to ensure our manufacturing operators have the materials they need to run our tablet presses and encapsulation machines efficiently. In this role, you'll be responsible for managing the flow of materials throughout the production process, from retrieving powders from the warehouse and filling hoppers on the manufacturing floor to transporting finished products. You’ll operate forklifts, powered pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment to move goods safely and efficiently. Your contributions will be vital to maintaining smooth production operations, ensuring timely material availability, and working closely with team members to support production schedules.
Permanent Full-Time (37.5 hours)
Sunday to Thursday 10:15 pm – 6:15 am
This position also requires you to be clean-shaven (no facial hair) to ensure a proper respirator fit and to comply with safety protocols, including WorkSafeBC regulations.
In this role, you will:
- Be responsible for bringing powders from the warehouse to the third floor for Encapsulating and Tableting which requires operating a power pallet jack and regular pallet jack
- Fill the powder hoppers for the Encapsulating and Tableting machines using barrel lift equipment and check hoppers on a regular basis to see if they need refilling
- Liaise with the Manufacturing Supervisor or Encapsulating and Tableting Lead hands and Operators as to what products will be run, in what order and on which machine
- Remove the powder hopper and take it to the wash bay for cleaning at the end of each run
- Coordinate with the Warehouse staff for timely delivery of powders and other materials needed on the third floor
You have:
- The ability to demonstrate safely working in a physically demanding environment where lifting up to 50lbs is a common occurrence
- A cooperative, positive and willing attitude, all while keeping good communication and behavior with co-workers and management
- A keen focus on the little things and an understanding of the importance of attention to detail. You understand that no one thing can be overlooked, especially sacrificing quality.
- The ability to work well on your own or co-operatively with others, based on the needs of the business.
