Assignment: Permanent
Hours of work: 37.5 per week

Salary: 110 526 $ to 122 694 $

Your responsibilities
-
Lead all aspects of IT project management, including defining scope, objectives, budget, deliverables, required resources, timelines, and communication strategy.
-
Define methodological frameworks, tracking tools, and performance indicators to monitor progress, conduct testing, and report to stakeholders.
-
Coordinate, assign, and manage resource allocation (human, financial, technological) based on organizational priorities and project constraints.

Act as a key resource by providing strategic and technical guidance, coaching, and analytical support to the IT project team.

Prepare contracts and negotiate revisions, changes, and additions with consultants, clients, suppliers, and contractors.

Plan and execute the transition of projects to operations teams, including documentation, training, and post-deployment follow-up.
Your profile
-
Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
-
Minimum of four (4) years of progressive experience in project management within a development, support, or process improvement environment, in information technology.
-
PMP® (Project Management Professional) certification.
-
Knowledge of relevant IT applications and tools, as well as related office software (MS Office, SAP, etc.).
-
Strong technical knowledge, as well as familiarity with best practices and tools in project management in IT.
-
Solid experience in budget management and financial controls.
-
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
-
Knowledge of applicable procedures, rules, standards, and work practices related to task execution.
-
Eligibility for Marine Transportation Security Clearance.
-
Proficient in French, verbally and in writing, and fluent in English, verbally. This requisite is explained by the nature of the position which requires communicating with teams located in Québec and Ontario.

About The St. Lawrence Seaway Management Corporation
At the St. Lawrence Seaway Management Corporation, you’re in the heart of the action!
The Great Lakes/Seaway System is a “marine highway” that extends some 3,700 km from the Atlantic Ocean to the Great Lakes. Ranked as one of the greatest engineering feats of the 20th century, the Seaway includes 13 Canadian locks and 2 U.S. locks connecting the lower St. Lawrence River to the Great Lakes. Together with our American counterpart, the Saint Lawrence Seaway Development Corporation, we coordinate on a host of operational activities, ranging from traffic management to navigation aids and every other conceivable issue you might imagine would be important for a major waterway.
With a seaway system as vast and complex as ours, it takes professionals from many specializations to ensure that the passing of ships and their cargo are handled with efficiency and professionalism. Join us!

Le réseau Grands Lacs-Voie maritime est une « autoroute maritime » qui s’étend sur quelque 3700 km de l’océan Atlantique jusqu’aux Grands Lacs. La Voie maritime, considérée comme une des plus grandes prouesses d’ingénierie du 20e siècle, comprend 13 écluses canadiennes et 2 écluses américaines entre le bas du fleuve Saint-Laurent et les Grands Lacs. De concert avec notre homologue des États-Unis la Saint Lawrence Seaway Development Corporation, nous coordonnons des activités opérationnelles dans un éventail de domaines, depuis la gestion du trafic jusqu’aux aides à la navigation et à tous les autres aspects imaginables que vous pourriez juger importants pour une grande voie navigable.
