We're Hiring - Project Coordinator
We are looking for an experienced Project Coordinator to support the coordination of IT infrastructure and technical requirements across multiple major capital construction and renovation projects. This highly visible and fast-paced role involves coordinating complex projects with diverse stakeholders while ensuring project objectives, budgets, timelines, and technical requirements are successfully achieved. The successful candidate will work closely with project and program management teams to support all aspects of project coordination for both major and minor facility capital projects.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and manage IT infrastructure project activities across multiple concurrent projects. Facilitate collaboration among stakeholders throughout project design, construction, and implementation phases. Support project planning activities, including scope definition, scheduling, and resource coordination. Manage and track procurement of IT equipment, software, and services. Assist with budget development, forecasting, tracking, and financial reporting throughout the project lifecycle. Maintain project documentation and ensure document control processes are followed. Identify, track, and escalate project issues, risks, and decisions. Provide onsite project coordination and support as required. Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, document outcomes, and track action items. Work closely with project/program management teams to define and scope prospective initiatives. Coordinate user reviews and technical performance reviews to validate requirements and project deliverables. Support organizational change initiatives and stakeholder engagement activities.
Must Have Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. PMP (Project Management Professional) or PgMP (Program Management Professional) certification. Minimum 5 years of experience supporting IT infrastructure within major and minor capital construction projects. Minimum 5 years of experience managing IT projects in the healthcare sector.
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business-focused language.
- Experience managing IT infrastructure or software projects with:
- Budgets exceeding $2M
- Teams of more than 5 FTEs
- Distributed and matrix-managed resources
- Experience working in large enterprise environments with multiple integrated systems and established change management processes.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including:
- Word
- Excel
- PowerPoint
- Outlook
- Project
- Visio
- Strong expertise in project planning, estimating, and Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) development.
- Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
- Familiarity with IT support environments, enterprise applications, and infrastructure projects.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, facilitation, and risk management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic and evolving environment.
- Good understanding of IT architecture, standards, platforms, and methodologies.
- Experience supporting organizational change initiatives impacting large groups of end users.
