About the role
The Opportunity
Responsible for providing quality workmanship, consistent service, and technical support to the customers. Performs all tasks related to the testing, diagnosing, repair, maintenance, and reconditioning of Pressure Relief Valves on site.
The Role
- Inspect and diagnose components and equipment for servicing needs.
- Communicate with equipment owners for authorization of servicing and repairs as required.
- Service and repair equipment on site in client's repair facility.
- Clean valves for inspection, inspecting internal parts including measurement and documentation of critical dimensions.
- Assemble and test relief valves in accordance with the OEM specifications and applicable codes.
- Update and maintain documentation information for the valves
- Painting and tagging as required.
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with the client.
- Communicate equipment servicing needs as required with Supervisor/Manager.
- Communicate work performed and complete service paperwork.
- Participate in manufacturers’ and in house service training. Training may occur during work and/or after work hours.
- Participate in all required Health & Safety Training.
- Comply with the Health & Safety program and practices.
- Performance of daily duties in a manner conducive to a safe workplace.
- Work with Manufacturers online support.
- Conduct housekeeping duties
- Maintain a professional company image at all times.
- Meet requirements of Field Level Hazard and Job Hazard assessments
The Candidate
- Position information: 30/31 shift at client site (Suncore). 12 hour days with overtime.
- Must be local to Fort McMurray, bus transportation will be provided to and from site. Acceptance of random drug testing required. A driver's abstract is also required.
- Computer Experience: Proficient on a computer. Easily able to and willing to learn new software.
- Work Experience: 2+ years
- Knowledge: Proficient written and verbal communication skills; proven ability to work with customers, exceptional customer service; demonstrated mechanical aptitude, analysis and problem-solving skills.
