About The Role The Risk & Data team, with members located in Canada, Poland, and India, performs critical functions to create market leading risk transparency and insight tools for Innocap and its clients.
The Associate in Risk & Data has the following main responsibilities:
- Coordinate and process the loads of data from multiple external sources in a centralized proprietary system, investigating data quality issues and applying necessary fixes.
- Responsible for data enrichment and understanding the data and technical requirements for modelling both Listed and OTC securities in the risk engine.
- Process hedge fund holdings data and produce and ensure quality of daily and ad-hoc risk and performance reports.
- Conduct risk analysis and analyze the quality of the output (including valuation and risk analytics across more standard asset classes, including equity, fixed income, FX and commodity).
- Interface with team members globally and provide risk analytics support on matters related to market risk quality control risk, data issues, risk modeling questions, fixes.
- Collaborate on process improvement and perform other activities as assigned.
Primary Qualifications & Skills
- Relevant formal training in management, commerce, economic, finance or related fields.
- Higher education in a relevant field or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
- CFA and/or FRM designation is considered an asset.
- Desired seniority level: entry level
- Knowledge of derivatives and capital markets.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft 365, especially Excel.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills both in French and English given the international nature of the work.
- Analytical, and detail-oriented, resourceful with proven ability to stay organized and manage work in a timely manner.
- Possess a proactive, positive, and adaptable approach to work.
