Your Role
As a Collision Repair Estimator, you will be the primary point of contact for customers throughout the repair process. You'll inspect vehicle damage, prepare accurate repair estimates, communicate with insurance partners, and work closely with our production team to ensure repairs are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards.
You play a critical role in creating an outstanding customer experience while helping ensure repairs are completed accurately and on schedule.
Key Responsibilities
Welcome customers and professionally assess vehicle damage. Prepare accurate repair estimates using Mitchell Connect. Communicate with SGI and other insurance companies to obtain approvals and ensure proper documentation. Photograph vehicle damage and upload documentation into estimating platforms. Collaborate with production managers, technicians, and parts personnel to verify repair procedures and scope of work. Coordinate repair timelines and order parts as required. Keep customers informed throughout the repair process with timely, professional updates. Review completed repairs to ensure estimates accurately reflect the work performed. Maintain complete and accurate repair files in accordance with SGI and company standards. Deliver an exceptional customer experience from initial estimate through vehicle delivery. Maintain a clean, organized work environment while following all workplace health and safety policies.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who combines strong technical knowledge with exceptional customer service.
Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of collision repair estimating experience. Strong understanding of collision repair procedures and vehicle construction. Experience with Mitchell Connect. Experience with parts ordering, Parts Bridge and Collision Link. Working knowledge of SGI estimating and claims procedures is considered a strong asset. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to effectively manage multiple repair files in a fast-paced environment. Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence with a clean driving record. Collision estimating certification or related industry training is considered an asset.
