Prototyping/Assembly Technician
Job Description
Enedym is at the forefront of revolutionizing electric propulsion systems. The company specializes in developing next generation switched reluctance motors (SRMs) that eliminate the need for rare earth metals, significantly reducing costs and enhancing supply chain stability. At its core, Enedym is driven by a vision to transform the electric motor industry through innovation, cost reduction, and environmental responsibility.
In this position, you will work with the manufacturing team to build, test, and integrate electric motor powertrains into customer applications. Enedym is looking for a self-starter who is eager to work in a fast-paced technically diverse environment.
Responsibilities
- Assemble, integrate, and troubleshoot electric motor assemblies
- Assemble and integrate low voltage/ high voltage electrical systems
- Read and follow technical drawings and schematics
- Thoroughly document the build process of prototypes, and provide manufacturing feedback to the engineering team
- Provide suggestions and ideas to improve manufacturing processes or product designs
Qualifications
- A Diploma or Degree in a Mechanical or Electrical Technician field of study, or Certificate of Qualification (C of Q), Real Seal in a related trade
- 1 - 2+ years experience in a technical field
- Strong mechanical background including assembly, and troubleshooting electronic/mechanical devices
- Experience using hand tools, measurement equipment, and other shop tools
- Strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently or within a team environment
- Execute responsibilities with close attention to detail
Additional Assets
- Experience in prototype manufacturing environment
- Experience with CAD/CAM software
- Experience with electric machines
