About the role

Make a meaningful impact on students' learning and well-being. Sturgeon Public Schools is seeking a Full-Time Temporary Educational Assistant 2 for Lilian Schick School. Located in the Town of Bon Accord, Lilian Schick School serves approximately 240 students in Grades 5–9. With strong academics, non-denominational Christian faith-based LOGOS programming, and a focus on student well-being, the school provides opportunities for students to learn, grow, make healthy choices, and achieve their goals.

This position is 1.0 FTE (6.5 hours/day, Monday to Friday)

What You'll Be Doing

  • Support students under the direction of the classroom teacher
  • Provide assistance with positive behaviour programs, academic support, and classroom structure
  • Encourage social, emotional, and behavioural growth
  • Support classroom routines and transitions
  • Help foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment

What You Bring

  • Educational Assistant or Early Childhood Diploma/Certificate
  • Experience working with students who display behavioural
  • CPR and First Aid certification
  • Training or experience with Special Needs, Autism, and TCIS
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and staff
  • Patience, empathy, and strong relationship-building skills
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered
  • Clear Criminal Record with Vulnerable Sector Check
