Title: Specialist SCM Power Projects & Operations Location: Calgary, AB or North York, ON Work Model: Hybrid (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday in office; Wednesday and Friday work from home) Duration: 12 Months Contract with possible extensions
Description: The Specialist, SCM Power Projects & Operations is responsible for leading Supply Chain Management (SCM) activities related to the transition of projects into Operations. The role supports both Project and Operations teams by optimizing total cost of ownership, mitigating risk, and ensuring operational reliability. This position serves as a key interface between Projects and Operations, with a strong focus on managing warranty obligations during project transition and throughout the asset lifecycle. The successful candidate will coordinate, administer, and resolve OEM, EPC, and supplier warranty claims to protect commercial entitlements and support asset performance.
Key Accountabilities: Warranty Management & Project Transition: Lead SCM activities related to project-to-operations transition, ensuring all warranty terms and documentation are transferred. Act as the primary SCM interface for warranty matters between Projects, Operations, OEMs, EPCs, and secondary suppliers. Coordinate and manage OEM and EPC warranty claims. Track, maintain documentation, and provide reporting for all warranty claims. Manage the full lifecycle of warranty claims through closure. Contract & Supplier Management: Interpret and administer contracts to ensure warranty provisions are enforced. Negotiate warranty-related disputes and settlements. Manage supplier performance and relationships related to warranty obligations. Operational Support: Support asset reliability and serve as the warranty subject matter expert (SME). Assist procurement activities and coordinate with Legal, Project, and other internal stakeholders during project transition. Support operational spares procurement from initial identification and sourcing through delivery to ensure parts are available for operational turnover.
Qualifications: Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. 7+ years of Supply Chain Management experience, preferably in Vendor Management, Supplier Relationship Management, or Warranty Management. Experience reviewing, negotiating, and administering supply contracts.
