The Opportunity

We’re adding a Senior Commercial Account Manager to my growing team — a key, client-facing role supporting our producers in managing and growing a diverse portfolio of commercial clients.

This is an opportunity to work directly with underwriters, help influence the direction of the brokerage, and contribute to the success of a respected and expanding firm. You'll be looking after 2 producer's clients (including me), and working closely with our commercial department.

You’ll be hands-on — preparing pre-renewal packages, coordinating client updates with producers, and managing full renewal cycles from marketing to client communication. It’s the perfect fit for someone who enjoys building relationships, finding solutions, and working in a collaborative yet autonomous environment.

What You’ll Do - Client Service & Policy Management

  • Manage all aspects of the client service cycle, from onboarding to renewal.
  • Prepare pre-renewal packages for producers to review with clients.
  • Gather updated underwriting information and help “tee up” producers for renewal meetings.
  • Handle renewals independently, including marketing, coverage review, quoting, and client communication.
  • Negotiate terms and pricing with underwriters while maintaining strong insurer relationships.
  • Counsel clients regarding claims, coverage, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Identify opportunities to improve protection and recommend coverage enhancements.

Team Collaboration & Brokerage Support

  • Support producers in servicing accounts.
  • Collaborate on process improvement and modernization initiatives.
  • Provide backup for team members and ensure consistent, high-quality client service.

What We’re Looking For

  • RIBO license in good standing (required)
  • 3–5 years of commercial insurance experience in a brokerage setting
  • CAIB, CIP, or equivalent designation considered an asset
  • Experience with construction, engineering, real estate, or manufacturing accounts an asset
  • Experience with delegated authority (Lloyd's) an asset
  • Strong communication, relationship management, and problem-solving skills
  • Self-starter who takes initiative and follows through independently
  • Team player who values collaboration and shared success
  • Ability to manage multiple client priorities and deadlines effectively
  • Confident using Applied Epic or comparable systems
  • Professional, proactive, and committed to continuous improvement
