About the role

SMS Equipment is seeking an organized and service-orientedAdministrator and Travel Coordinator. In this role, you will support daily office operations while coordinating travel arrangements such as flights, accommodations, and vehicle rentals. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, able to manage multiple priorities, and enjoys supporting a well-organized workplace.

Work Location: Acheson, AB.
Salary:$55,000 to $60,000 annually.
Work arrangement: Fixed on site – working 5 days per week from the office.

**Schedule:**Monday to Friday.

What You'll Do

  • Greet guests and employees, ensuring site compliance and proper sign-ins.
  • Manage office supplies and maintain organized filing systems
  • Create POs and respond to routine inquiries from staff, vendors, and customers.
  • Sort, distribute, and manage incoming business correspondence.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements to customer sites, including flights, accommodations, and vehicle rentals.
  • Serve as the primary contact for rate agreements with airlines, hotels, & rental companies.
  • Ensure all bookings follow SMS Equipment’s travel policies and procedures.
  • Provide on-call support for urgent travel needs after hours and on weekends.
  • Prepare reports and assist with data analysis.

What You Bring

The ideal candidate will have aCertificate in Office Administrationand aminimum of 2 years of administrative experience. Additional qualifications include:

  • Prior experience coordinating travel.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Knowledge of eXtend ERP, SAP and ISO Quality Management Systems is an asset.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to problem solve independently.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
