Administrative Assistant 1
Number of positions: 1 Job Location: Dunsmuir 10
Employment type: Permanent Region: Lower Mainland
Hours of work: Full-time (37.5 hrs/wk) Flexible Work Role: Hybrid
Annual salary: $ 51,400.00 - 65,000.00
What you'll do
Reporting to the Director, Total Rewards & Systems you will provide comprehensive, confidential administrative support to
the team and Director.
Other key responsibilities include:

Invoice payment and contract management.
-
Booking and managing meetings and training sessions; event planning, and logistical support as required.

Maintaining and updating the team’s internal web pages "Hydroweb” – web authoring skills considered an asset.
-
Maintaining the team Sharepoint site, including site layout, permissions, and governance.
-
Coordinating office space/equipment requirements for the team as well as working with other administrative assistants
within Human Resources to provide assistance and support when required.
What you bring
- Post-secondary education plus three to five years administrative experience at a senior level performing a range of
diverse, administrative support duties.
-
An undergraduate degree, diploma or certificate in Human Resources, or equivalent HR experience considered an asset.
-
Initiative and a solution-oriented approach to day-to-day challenges.
-
Ability to maintain professional working relationships with the team, all levels of staff within BC Hydro, and external
organizations.
- Ability to act independently with a high level of judgment, discretion, and diplomacy particularly in dealing with confidential
or sensitive matters.
-
Experience and/or knowledge of SAP (HRIS) to support with time and labour entries and expense reports.
-
Experience with procurement and vendor/contract management - change requests, direct invoices for approval, monitor
spend, etc.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize and adapt easily to shifting and/or
conflicting deadlines.

Superior oral and written communication skills as well as the ability to make decisions within prescribed guidelines.

Highly proficient with current business software including: Microsoft Office applications (Word/ Excel/ Outlook/
PowerPoint); Passport; SharePoint; SAP HCM and Financial applications; and Web Authoring tools.
