Position: Accounting Clerk- (Maternity Leave Coverage)
Location: Morgan Creek – 201 – 15252 32 Ave, Surrey, BC V3Z 0R7
Hours: 21 hr/wk
Salary: $27.81/hr
Start Date: ASAP
We are looking for an Accounting Clerk to join our Finance team! Ideally, this individual must be a strong positive model by being energetic, creative and resourceful while also possessing strong interpersonal teamwork skills.

Description of Position:
Reporting to: CFO
Responsibilities:
- Day-to-day accounting activities that can include the following, but not limited to:
- Accounts payable
- Account receivable
- Invoicing
- Payment processing
- Credit Card Reconciliations
- Month-end processing
- Ad hoc projects as assigned.
Physical Demands of Job:
- Walking/Moving Around - 25%, Sitting - 75%,
Cognitive Demands of Job:
- Independent Work - 75%, Task Memorization - 75%, Changing Priorities/Deadlines - 50%, Reading/Writing - 50%
Qualifications:
Education/ Designation Requirements:
- 2-3 years of related accounting experience
- Diploma in accounting is an asset
Technical Skills:
- Sage 300 (ACCPAC) is an asset
- Microsoft Office Suite – Excel, Outlook, Word
- Smartsheets is an asset
General Experience:
- Experience working in a non-profit environment is an asset
- General knowledge of IT and Telephone infrastructure
- English communication skills, both written and verbal
- Detail oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills
Personal Traits/Abilities:
- Self-motivated, intuitive
- Ability to work well within a diverse team
- Adaptable to changing priorities, tasks and internal conditions
- Ability to prioritize projects and deliverables and interact effectively within cross-function teams
