Position Overview

We are currently recruiting a dedicated and professional Millwright to support our Machine Shop. The successful candidate will have proficiency in the care, maintenance and repair of CNC machinery and other machine shop-related equipment. They will also provide facility maintenance and make safety-related repairs and upgrades.

We require an individual with a high degree of expertise in solving complex mechanical, electrical and electronic issues. The role requires an excellent working knowledge of PLC’s, ladder logic and deductive reasoning.

Duties

• Install and repair CNC machinery and related shop equipment

• Conduct preventative maintenance and ensure adherence to the preventative maintenance schedule

• Support health and safety initiatives by performing repairs and providing input on improvement opportunities

• Prioritize repairs in collaboration with Operations team regarding production needs

• Participate in 5S and continuous improvement initiatives

• Collaborate with employees at all levels of the organization to ensure operational effectiveness

• Support EQI's two facilities with repairs as needed

• 300 Sheldon Drive (machine shop - main work location for this role)

• 756 Bishop Street North (warehouse and main office)

Qualifications

• Licensed Millwright in Ontario (red seal ticket considered an asset)
• Minimum 3 years experience with CNC machinery, including fixing electrical components
