Position Overview
We are currently recruiting a dedicated and professional Millwright to support our Machine Shop. The successful candidate will have proficiency in the care, maintenance and repair of CNC machinery and other machine shop-related equipment. They will also provide facility maintenance and make safety-related repairs and upgrades.
We require an individual with a high degree of expertise in solving complex mechanical, electrical and electronic issues. The role requires an excellent working knowledge of PLC’s, ladder logic and deductive reasoning.
Duties

Install and repair CNC machinery and related shop equipment

Conduct preventative maintenance and ensure adherence to the preventative maintenance schedule

Support health and safety initiatives by performing repairs and providing input on improvement opportunities

Prioritize repairs in collaboration with Operations team regarding production needs

Participate in 5S and continuous improvement initiatives

Collaborate with employees at all levels of the organization to ensure operational effectiveness

Support EQI's two facilities with repairs as needed

300 Sheldon Drive (machine shop - main work location for this role)

756 Bishop Street North (warehouse and main office)
Skills
- Strong technical skills and ability to troubleshoot and repair machinery
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities
- Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems
- Safety mindset including lockout/tagout process
- Continuous improvement mindset
Qualifications
- Licensed Millwright in Ontario (red seal ticket considered an asset)
- Minimum 3 years experience with CNC machinery, including fixing electrical components
