Coordinator - Student Services - Pre-Kindergarten and Early Learning Focus
About the role
Coordinator - Student Services - Pre-Kindergarten and Early Learning Focus Central Services - 1.0 fte Commencing August 24, 2026 The Coordinator - Student Services position will provide both leadership and support as part of a collaborative team to effectively meet the needs of students with diverse learning profiles.
Responsibilities And Expectations
- Identification and placement of students in Pre-K programs.
- Leadership in implementing best practices in assessment, designing instruction that is accessible to all learners, and ongoing professional learning, primarily at the kindergarten and pre-kindergarten levels.
- Ability to provide consultation services to schools as necessary in the areas of learning, supporting students with complex needs, behaviour and instruction.
- Knowledge of and ability to liaise and facilitate services with community-based partners and agencies including contracted service providers for speech, occupational therapy, physical therapy, psychology and other supports as needed.
Desirable Qualifications
- Master’s Degree, preferably with a focus on leadership in Inclusive Education or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Successful teaching experience, administrative experience, particularly in the area of early learning, is also an asset
- Comprehensive knowledge of Inclusive Practices
- Instructional Leadership ability
- Strong organizational skills
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to positively interact with students, school staff, parents and the community.
- Applicants must have or be eligible for an Alberta Professional Teaching certificate
