Join Our Team

The Good Access Company is looking for a dependable and organized In House Technician with shipping, receiving, and warehousing experience to join our service team. This position plays an important role in ensuring mobility and accessibility equipment is received accurately, stored safely, prepared properly, and ready when our clients need it. The successful candidate will combine strong warehouse organization with hands on mechanical ability to support equipment assembly, inspection, maintenance, and repair. Key ResponsibilitiesShipping, Receiving, and Inventory

  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming equipment, parts, and supplies against purchase orders and packing documentation.
  • Identify shortages, damage, incorrect shipments, or quality concerns and report discrepancies promptly.
  • Prepare and coordinate outgoing shipments, transfers, returns, and vendor warranty items.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and update internal tracking systems as equipment and parts move through the facility.
  • Organize warehouse, storage, staging, quarantine, and service areas to support safe and efficient operations.
  • Label, store, and stage new, rental, demonstration, loaner, and customer owned equipment.
  • Work with Purchasing, Sales, and Service to confirm inventory availability and equipment readiness.
  • Help reduce lost, misplaced, or unaccounted for inventory through accurate documentation and consistent processes.

Equipment Preparation and Service

  • Assemble and prepare mobility and accessibility equipment for customer delivery or pickup.
  • Complete basic pre delivery inspections, adjustments, testing, and equipment setup.
  • Perform in house maintenance, repairs, cleaning, and reconditioning within your training and experience.
  • Identify equipment requiring additional repair, replacement parts, or senior technical support.
  • Ensure equipment is safe, clean, complete, and ready for deployment.
  • Keep technician work areas stocked with commonly used parts, supplies, and consumables.
  • Support field technicians and sales representatives by staging equipment, parts, tools, and accessories for scheduled work.

Safety and Workplace Organization

  • Follow all warehouse, equipment handling, and shop safety procedures.
  • Use required personal protective equipment and material handling equipment safely.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and hazard free work areas.
  • Report workplace hazards, damaged equipment, inventory concerns, and incidents promptly.
  • Contribute to a respectful, collaborative, and customer focused workplace.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Previous experience in shipping, receiving, warehousing, inventory control, logistics, or a related environment.
  • Experience receiving and verifying products against purchase orders, packing slips, or shipping documents.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and confidence using common hand and power tools.
  • Ability to follow written procedures, complete documentation, and maintain accurate records.
  • Comfortable learning inventory, order processing, and equipment tracking systems.
  • Ability to work independently while supporting a collaborative team environment.
  • Good communication and problem solving skills.
  • Experience with mobility, accessibility, medical, automotive, mechanical, or technical equipment is considered an asset.
  • Forklift, pallet stacker, or material handling equipment experience is considered an asset.
  • A valid driver’s licence is considered an asset.

Physical Requirements

The successful candidate must be able to:

  • Lift, carry, push, pull, and reposition equipment and inventory safely.
  • Stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform hands on work for extended periods.
  • Use carts, dollies, pallet handling equipment, and other approved material handling tools.
  • Work safely in the warehouse, receiving, service, and equipment cleaning areas.
  • Wear required personal protective equipment. Reasonable accommodations will be considered throughout the recruitment process.
