Description

Weyerhaeuser Annacis Island (Delta) (Engineered Wood Products) facility is seeking a Maintenance Planner who is committed to safety, have a positive attitude, excellent work ethics and a desire to work in a manufacturing facility.

The Maintenance Planner improves overall site productivity and quality by anticipating and eliminating potential delays through planning, scheduling, and coordination of maintenance resources, parts, materials, and equipment access. This position reports to the Maintenance Manager and is part of the Maintenance Team at the Vancouver Plant. The Maintenance Planner is a full-time hourly non-production position. Dayshift scheduled with flexibility to respond to unplanned plant events and work flexible schedules across shifts when required.

Key Functions of the position

  • Integrate safety planning into all work orders and preventive maintenance activities
  • Ensure work plans meet site safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements
  • Conduct periodic field walkdowns to verify job readiness and safety conditions
  • Develop complete, ready-to-execute job plans including scope, labor, parts, tools, and permits
  • Own the quality and readiness of the weekly maintenance schedule
  • Maintain and continuously review the maintenance backlog, supporting prioritization decisions
  • Coordinate with operations, trades, contractors, and vendors to support efficient execution
  • Ensure parts, materials, and services are available before scheduled work
  • Support contractor readiness and post-job performance review
  • Capture job feedback and update plans, PMs, BOMs, and estimates accordingly
  • Identify repeat failures and planning gaps and support defect elimination efforts
  • Contribute to PM optimization and reliability initiatives
  • Develop accurate labor and material cost estimates for maintenance work
  • Support budget forecasting, cost tracking, and capital project execution
  • Maintain accurate functional locations, BOMs, and asset data in SAP
  • Provide clear, timely communication on schedules, readiness, and constraints
  • Support data quality and reporting through disciplined work management practices
  • Co-champion for the Work Management SMP; Support of the SMP programs and their champions
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Commitment to safety – demonstrated record of understanding and following safety practices and procedures.
  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED; Diploma or Certification in scheduling or Planning is preferred.
  • Must have thorough knowledge of plant/mill operations and cost/time required for all types of maintenance work
  • Minimum 5 years of related experience
  • Ability/flexibility to work non-scheduled hours, across shifts as required.
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, Project) and SAP is preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Desire to develop/improve presentation skills.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Limited travel may be required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Preferred: Journeyman trades (Millwright or Electrician) certification or continuous process experience

**Compensation:**This role is eligible for our annual merit-increase program, and we are targeting a salary range of $ $84,688-$121,861 based on your level of skills, qualifications and experience. You will also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program, which offers a cash bonus targeting 7% of base pay. Potential plan funding may range from zero to two times that target.
