With over 25 years of experience in the remote camp business, Outland is a leader in remote camp catering. Many of our applicants have been referred by existing employees who recommended Outland to their friends and colleagues.As a remote Cook, reporting to the Chef, you will assist in the overall kitchen operations and maintenance as well as cleaning and sanitizing of designated kitchen areas, tools, equipment, pots, and dishes. This is a rotational position working 14 days on, 14 days off in a remote camp site.Your work will include:Ensure consistent quality standards in food preparation as per client’s requirements and safety and sanitation in kitchen in accordance with Food Safe protocol.Prepare food items for Breakfast Service, Dinner Service, and Sandwich Making including select and cut breads, cut and wrap sandwiches, slice cold meats and cheese by hand or machine, and distribute meats, fillings, garnish and other ingredients on breadsVisually inspect appearance of all cold food for proper color combination and overall presentation to maintain appealCheck and control proper storage of all food items in refrigerators and freezers to maintain product freshnessPrepare and set up a full salad bar for lunch and supperEnsure food stocks are utilized effectivelyWHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU?Enjoy excellent work-life balance with a 14 days on/14 days off rotation.Career advancement opportunities.Whereas other companies are downsizing, we are growing!Be #1 on day 1 by joining an industry leaderFollow Outland on Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.QualificationsWHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?You have a minimum 6 months' kitchen experience.Remote camp experience an assetValid Food Safety certificate.Can lift, push, pull up to 50lbsAdditional InformationDexterra Group is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion.
