Operations Support Services - Printing Operator 1

A. Purpose and Scope
To produce printed components through various methods/machines.
B. Responsibilities
- Ensures all ink and components needed for printing are readily available before printing is started.
- Operate different printing machine including stamping and screen printing.
- Places, positions and aligns components onto the machine to be printed while maintaining a consistent flow of goods.
- Does minor set-up and adjustments on printing machines.
- Visually inspects printed component for clarity of printing and general appearance.
- Ensures quantities as required on the work order have been printed.
C. Physical Requirements
- Constant movement of neck (head-tilting, turning left or right)
- Repetitive and/or forceful finger movements
- Constant wrist movement
- Fast paced environment
- Manual dexterity
- Repetitive tasks
- High attention to detail
- Standing for long periods of time
Job Requirements:
A. Education and Training : -
Secondary school diploma. Must be trained on WHMIS and GMP.
B. Experience : -
A minimum of six (6) months experience in operating a printing machine.
C. Other Skills Required : -
Excellent manual dexterity and eye/hand co-ordination. English communication skills.
