YOUR MISSION

We are looking for a Data Developer to join our Marketing Data and Insights team. The ideal candidate should have advanced experience in data development, data pipeline management, and cloud data warehouse architecture.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement data collection pipelines to gather data from various sources, such as databases, files, APIs, etc.

  • Manage data storage infrastructure, including database design and maintenance.

  • Implement data transformation processes to clean, enrich, and structure data for usability. This may involve using ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) tools.

  • Ensure that data from different sources is integrated consistently to enable comprehensive analysis and efficient use.

  • Establish robust security measures to protect company data, including encryption, access management, and security monitoring.

  • Implement data quality control processes to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability.

  • Monitor data pipeline performance and optimize queries, flows, and processes for maximum efficiency.

  • Automate data management tasks, including collection, transformation, loading, and monitoring, to reduce errors and improve efficiency.

  • Work closely with data analysts and other team members to understand data needs and provide tailored solutions.

  • Document data pipelines, data schemas, transformation processes, and procedures to facilitate understanding and maintenance.

  • Provide high-quality data to end-users, whether in the form of reports, dashboards, or API services.

YOUR UNIQUE EXPERTISE

Education

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field such as computer science, business intelligence, information systems, or engineering.

Experience

  • At least 6-10 years of significant experience in database development, data pipeline management, or a similar role.
  • Proven leadership experience within a team of data experts (analysts, developers, scientists).
  • Experience with cloud computing systems and big data.
  • Expertise with Agile methodology.
  • Experience with Consumer Data Platform and Audience Management (CDP/DMP) implementations is a plus.
  • Experience with a data governance framework is a plus.

Technical Skills

  • Expertise in cloud computing systems such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, Snowflake, or similar platforms.
  • Proficiency in SQL and Python.
  • Knowledge in DevOps principles.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau, PowerBI, etc is a plus
  • Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform.
  • Experience with dbt (core and/or Cloud) and Fivetran is a plus
  • Knowledge of web analytics systems (such as Google Analytics) is a plus.

Other Skills

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and initiatives.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively with various stakeholders, vendors, and partners.
  • Bilingualism (French/English).
