Job Description:

Job Summary:

TD Bank is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Scrum Master / Project Manager to join our Data, Delivery and Integration team. This hybrid role will be responsible for leading cross-functional Agile teams, driving delivery of complex projects within the Capital Markets domain, and ensuring alignment with business goals and regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in Agile methodologies, project management best practices, and a strong understanding of capital markets products and systems, including trading, risk, and regulatory platforms

Key Responsibilities:

Project Manager Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end project lifecycle management (initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, closure).
  • Define scope, deliverables, timelines, and resource plans for Capital Markets technology initiatives.
  • Manage budgets, risks, and stakeholder communication for concurrent projects.
  • Prepare and deliver status updates to senior leadership, including risk mitigation strategies.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders, QA, development, infrastructure, and compliance teams.

Scrum Master Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate all Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives) for one or more teams.
  • Act as a servant-leader to Agile teams, coaching on Scrum, Kanban, and Agile best practices.
  • Remove blockers and impediments to the team’s progress.
  • Foster continuous improvement and Agile maturity through retrospectives and team coaching.
  • Ensure the team follows Agile values, principles, and practices while aligning with TD’s Agile delivery framework.
  • Keeps others informed and up-to-date about the status / progress of committed work and / or all relevant or useful information related to day-to-day activities
  • Collaborates with Product Owner(s), Technology Lead(s) and Team(s) on Sprint planning, impediment removal, and Team execution

Capital Markets Domain:

  • Oversee the delivery of solutions across various asset classes such as equities and derivatives.
  • Coordinate project efforts across trading desks, middle/back office, Technology and risk/compliance functions.
  • Ensure systems and processes comply with TD’s internal controls, Canadian and global regulatory standards.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in Capital Markets project management and Agile delivery.
  • 2+ years as a certified Scrum Master (CSM or equivalent).
  • Strong experience managing projects in the Capital Markets domain – preferably within a bank or major financial institution.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple high-impact projects simultaneously.
  • Deep knowledge of capital markets trading platforms, regulatory reporting, and risk systems.
  • Experience with JIRA, Confluence, MS Project, and other Agile project tools.
  • Solid understanding of SDLC methodologies including Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PMP and/or SAFe certification.
  • Understanding of FIX protocol, market data feeds, and electronic trading workflows.
