Project Manager

Term of Employment: As Soon As Possible to December 31, 2027

Salary Range: $74,268.43 to $100,480.82

Location: 205 Henlow Bay (on-site)

Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm (35 hours/week)

As a member of MITT’s Application Management Services, the Project Manager (PM) assists the Senior IT Project Manager to prepare and maintain project management deliverables for MITT IT projects. This includes the project charter, budget, schedule, change management, risk and issue management, meeting minutes, and status reporting.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assist the Senior IT Project Manager in monitoring, controlling, and administering the project progress and performance and other aspects of project management (scope, time, cost, quality and risk).
  • Develop and maintain detailed project deliverables including project plans, schedules, RAID logs, change requests, and status reports.
  • Schedule, attend and participate in planning and collaboration meetings.
  • Document and follow up on important actions and decisions from meetings.
  • Support the project/program managers in the preparation of necessary presentation materials and status reports.
  • Maintain program management artefacts in alignment with the established program management framework and methodologies.
  • Ensure projects adhere to MITT frameworks and governance and all documentation is maintained appropriately.
  • Co-ordinate and contribute to reporting and briefing materials for various levels of management.
  • Support project/program managers in planning and tracking project activities using collaboration management tools.
  • Analyze and identify discrepancies between the estimated, actual time and cost spent on a given project.
  • Identify trends and root causes of deviations against the baseline using lead and lag indicators, recommend remedial actions.
  • Adhering to MITT’s policies, procedures and behavior standards.
  • Serving on MITT committees.
  • Interacting with non-MITT parties in a manner that adheres to college policies and establishes functional working relationships.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

A combination of related education and experience may be considered.

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, computer science or any other related field.
  • Project management certification is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a project manager role.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience implementing IT systems.
  • Experience working in a post secondary institution.
  • Experience with Ellucian products.
  • Experience with financial and HR systems an asset.

Conditions of Employment:

  • Legally entitled to work in Canada.
  • Successful completion of a Criminal Record check including vulnerable sector and Child Abuse Registry Check.
